After completing this program, participants will be able to: Understand OSHA construction safety standards and regulatory requirements. Plan, develop, and deliver effective safety training programs for construction workers and supervisors. Apply adult-learning principles and teaching techniques to engage trainees effectively. Conduct hazard recognition and risk assessment training, emphasizing safe work practices.
Students must successfully complete the IASHEP 115 Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry and have five (5) years of safety and health work experience in General Industry or a degree in occupational safety and health. Trainers are required to attend IASHEP 205 Update for Construction Industry Trainers at least once every four (4) years to maintain their trainer status.
